Forrest Nabors, PhD

Forrest Nabors is Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Political Science. He is author of From Oligarchy to Republicanism: The Great Task of Reconstruction (2018). His research focus is on the changing character of the American political regime and his current book project is on the American Founding. The premise of his scholarship is that the American political regime has experienced three genuinely revolutionary moments, the American Founding, Civil War-Reconstruction and the Progressive Revolution. He is from Fair Haven, New Jersey and studied at Claremont McKenna College, the University of Chicago and the University of Oregon. Between college and graduate school, he spent ten years in high technology business.
